WWE had a vintage at closed counters this week at Madison Square Garden. The show included superstars like Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Gunther and Roman Reigns.
During a recent edition of Gross legion On Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Vince Russo said WWE was wasted a huge opportunity with their latest Monday evening show by Madison Square Garden.
“It’s Madison Square Garden. It’s Mecca. You have to understand something. Before many of you were born, when I started watching the wwwf once a month, every Monday evening was a live show by Madison Square Garden. Once a month on Monday evening (the card was) stacked, stacked, the brother. Each match, each month, was a main event stacked.”

“So when I look at that, that’s what I think. And that’s what I remember. These first shows that attracted me creepy fight in the garden with Howard Finkel in the middle of the ring. And the microphone would take place and just before the main event, Finkel would give you the card next month in the garden, the garden from top to bottom, Star-Studde emissions.
Russo tweeted during the show that an appearance of Roman Reigns would not help the show. The OTC returned during the fight of the WWE Raw Steel Cage event before placing waste at Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Fans will have to wait to see if Reigns explains his actions.
