Deliveries from Tesla Cybertruck would be pending while the company is working to solve a problem with the vehicle garnish. According to Electk, Tesla initiated a “confinement” on certain trucks due to the concerns that the decorative garnish, known as the cantral, stands out and flies away. Service representatives informed customers while waiting for the delivery that their trucks would be delayed, but they have not been explicitly informed of the reason for the taking.
A “confinement holder” is a proactive measure taken by car manufacturers to solve a quality problem or a defect before vehicles are delivered to customers. In this case, Tesla would have communicated to certain customers that the problem is linked to the cantral garnish, which covers the roof edge over the door.
The severity of the issue can be delayed for several weeks, depending on how the problem is widespread.

The problem of the finish was raised in previous complaints to the federal government, some reports suggest that the cantrail garnish is attached to the help of glue, which may not be detained as expected. A YouTube video of over a month ago plunges into the details of the finish problem, drawing more attention to quality concerns with Cybertruck. This is not the first time that the vehicle has faced problems linked to its garnish. Last summer, Tesla recalled more than 11,000 trucks due to problems with “badly adhered trunk cot sailing applications”.
Since the official launch of the Cybertruck in December 2023, the vehicle has been recalled seven times. Despite these problems, Tesla sold around 40,000 cybertrucks in 2024, although it has even more than a million reservations. The reports suggest that some cybertrouts accumulate on second -hand car lots, and production delays took place, the Austin factory workers said to stay at home for three days in December.
The vehicle has also become a target for graffiti and vandalism due to the controversial role of Elon Musk as special advisor to the Trump administration, adding to the challenges of the truck.
