Cainta, Rizal – Mahleen Membrido of USBC won the title of female master’s in the 9th GMTBC ICS / KWIKPRIT OPEN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP held Sunday at the IT. Lucia East bowling center here.
Membrido started slowly with a score of 125 scratching in the first 7 games, but rolled a 245 in the third match to propel it to the head position. She finished the Strong series with a 214 match, displaying a total score of 1377 to win the title.
Liza Zapanta from Sletba-GMTBC finished 1st runnerup with 1362, followed by Rica Ventura de PBA, 1336; Daphné Custodio de Sletba, 1332, and Tintin Robles de Ptba-Henrich, 1317.
During the senior male finals on Saturday, Ben Williams of Actba led to capture the crown.
Williams kept his balance and his composure while dodging the challenges posed by his rivals in the 8 game finals.
Williams posted a total of 1783, followed by Joel Guevarra de PBA with 1730, Eljeor Saddoy de Datbi with 1690, Charles Calamba of Sletba-GMTBC with 1675 and Jun Monakil de Sletba, 1659.
The other finalists organized a difficult fight for a place from 2nd to 5th place, with changes that took place after each match. But none of them has ever been to dislodge Williams from first place.
