For Reve Smith, 2024 was an incredible year. After several impressive performances on the domestic circuit, including a world record in a rear 100m, she headed for the Paris Olympic Games. During the matches, she won silver medals at the 100m and 200m back, as well as in 200m butterfly. It also left with gold medals in mixed events 4x100m and 4x100m.

Thinking about his Paris Olympic campaign, Smith told Forbes,

“I think that coming from the Tokyo Olympic Games where there were no spectators on the bridge, you could not share any of your successful and festive moments with the family or something like that, I think it has made Paris a really special experience.”

“I was really, really motivated to do really special things because I knew that after each event, I had the opportunity to revel in these moments with the members of my family, my friends, my teammates and the world, because the stadium was also excited, so very special, so fun, but yes, absolutely not easy, competition in sport is never easy, but I really do it.”

After his Paris Olympic campaign, Reve Smith continued to participate in the World Short Film Championships 2024. Here she won gold in the 50m back, 100m back, 200m back to back and 4x100m Medley. It also won the silver in the 200 m of butterfly and the mixed 4x100m mixture, as well as a bronze medal in the mixed 4x50m mixture.
