The Philippine gymnastics icon hits the full-time carpet in full time this month while it is preparing for the male and junior artistic gymnastics championships in Asia 2025 in South Korea.
“We actually started to train last month, but just for a few days. We will come back fully this month when we try to focus on new skills for its first tournament since (the) Paris (Olympic Games), “said Aldrin Castañeda, Yulo chief coach.

But even during this long break, he kept his physique in the form of a point.
“He suffered a rehabilitation earlier to maintain a strong body and maintain himself conditionally in shape,” said Castañeda.
The International Gymnastics Federation has introduced a new notation system in male events that the world director in sport will be implemented in its sanctioned tournaments.
Castañeda does not see any problem with Yulo adapting to the new set of rating directives.
“Carlos will do his best to improve his routines, not only in the ground but also in other devices,” said Castañeda.
While the celebration that followed his Olympic feat went out, Yulo returned to work slowly. Training resumed the MVPSF Gymnastics Training Center in Intramuros, Manila, recently as Yulo aims to improve gradually before reaching the peak shape in time for the Asian Championships in Jecheon, South Korea, from June 5 to 8.
Yulo is also a breeze to see the action in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Indonesia, from October 19 to October 25 and Southeast Asian Games in December in Thailand.
