“Really proud of my efforts” – Maverick McNealy is thinking about his performance at Genesis Invitational
During the post-round interview with the Genesis Invitational 2025, Maverick McNealy said that the ball came out of the club as he wanted, and he found it quite fun.
“This is one of those things you get on a role, you know that it will end at some point but you just want to extend is as much as possible. Yes, 9 under 13 on this golf course, I am quite proud of that.
“You know, a few golf swings that I would like to be back. You know, hit a post out of 17. I was actually trying to hit him in the tangled area on the right where we did Friday and we finish in A unlucky place, but it’s the golf course.
McNealy won $ 2,200,000 as a finalist in the enormous $ 20 million scholarship. This is his highest pay check on the PGA Tour so far.
Last fall, Maverick McNealy won his first PGA Tour victory at the RSM Classic, ahead of Daniel Berger, Nico Echavarria and Amateur Luke Clanton by a margin at a time. He took his form from last season and displayed three TOP-10 in six starts. He equaled the eighth at the Sentry 2025 and finished T9 at the WM Phoenix Open last week.
