Petro Gazz extended his sequence of victories to six at the PVL All-Filino conference with a victory of 25-20, 24-26, 28-26, 25-22 against Grande-Café Zus Tuesday evening at Philsports Arena in Pasig City .
The Brooke Van Sickle and Myla Pablo duo fueled the angels to improve a 7-1 position. Van Sickle paid 27 points out of 25 attacks and two AS while Pablo helped 22 points built on 19 striking attacks and three blocks.

“I thought Zus had done an incredible job. They definitely pushed us physically and mentally. Teams like that can be a difficult effort throughout the match, especially as a striker. I thought we had remained quite composed even if we are tired, “said the Philippin-American Spiker.
“We didn’t want to show it. I thought Myla had done a fantastic job, we had a lot of swings and long rallies just to be able to stay focused, stay together in a team. It was a good victory, they pushed us very, very hard, ”she added.

“(My motivation is) what our coaches always tell us – to work hard and contribute to the court, especially for Brooke and me,” said Pablo. “Since we manage the receptions, the ball always comes to us, so we must remain consistent as open strikers and give our best to win this game.”
“Congratulations to Zus because their preparation for this match was really intense and their defense was strong. But we really wanted to win this match, “she added.
The Thunderbelles showed a huge fight behind the 21 points of Kate Santiago apart from 10 excellent excavations and the 19 points of Chai Troncoso, but these efforts were not sufficient to prevent them from going to a 4-5 card.
