Ruby Dhalla, a former deputy of Indian origin (deputy) for Canada, officially entered the race to become the leader of the Liberal Party, with a promise to become the country’s first Prime Minister in the country.
In a firm statement published on social networks, Ruby Dhalla announced his position on illegal immigration, promising to deport illegal immigrants and tighten the trafficking of human beings if it were elected.
In an article shared via the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ruby Dhalla said: “As Prime Minister, I will deport illegal immigrants and I will be human traffickers. This is my promise for you.”

She hopes to make history as the first woman of color to lead the Liberal Party and Canada. In a campaign video, Dhalla expressed his enthusiasm, saying: “We are about to create the story by electing the first woman of color as leader of the Liberal Party and the next Prime Minister of Canada.”
As part of its leadership offer, Ruby Dhalla described a vision focused on the engagement of a new demography of Canadians. “Phase 1 is finished, we go to phase 2 and we are committed with liberals across the country, who have registered as members of our party,” said Dhalla. Ruby Dhalla’s political journey includes her mandate as a first woman of Indian origin elected in Canada. During her mandate, she became one of the first Sikhs women to serve in the House of Commons.

His promise to combat illegal immigration is a central objective of his campaign. It faces strong competition from several high -level candidates, including the former governor of the Bank of Canada, Mark Carney, and the former Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland.
Ruby Dhalla positions himself as a foreigner in the current administration, declaring that Canadians are looking for a change. “Canadians don’t want Trudeau 2.0. If we are going to beat the Conservatives, we need real changes,” she tweeted.
The race for the Liberal Party leadership will end on March 9, 2025, when the next Prime Minister is announced, according to the outcome of the federal elections.
