Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing backlash following their recent actions during the Los Angeles wildfires.
The couple came under fire after they were photographed kissing victims and helping volunteers at the Pasadena community center.
Some accused the Sussexes of turning the visit into a “publicity stunt”, with actress Justine Bateman calling it a “tasteless photo op” and branding them “disaster tourists”.
The wildfires, which destroyed homes near Harry and Meghan’s Montecito neighborhood, also led Meghan to postpone the premiere of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. Critics called the delay “attention-seeking.”
Adding to the controversy, the pair released a strongly worded statement on their website, condemning Meta for relaxing content moderation policies and halting third-party fact-checking.
They accused the platform of enabling online abuse and hate speech, a move that sparked further debate online.
