King Charles III has apparently decided to show off his power amid speculation that Prince William and Kate Middleton are preparing for their intended roles.
The 76-year-old monarch has decided to make more visits abroad this year as his health improves.
The Palace announced the King’s plan for 2025, confirming that the monarch will visit Poland later this month to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
The monarch will attend a memorial ceremony at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial in Poland on January 27. This will be the king’s fifth visit to the country.
Earlier it was announced that King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla could travel to Italy to hold a first important meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
The historic audience would see Charles become the first British monarch in a decade to meet the Catholic ruler, and his first meeting with the pope as king.
The announcement of the king’s travels comes as Prince William “grabs” more power from his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, as he nears his ascension to the throne.
William, who is next in line to become king, is reportedly putting his foot down on several key decisions regarding the long-term future of the company.
Insiders also claimed William had never been more influential than he had been in recent months and was not shy about making decisions he believed would benefit the Crown in the long term.
