Arsenal will look to continue their impressive home form when they host struggling Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Friday night.

The Gunners come into the match after a 5-1 defeat against Crystal Palace last weekend, with Gabriel Jesus scoring a brace. Mikel Arteta’s side are now the only Premier League team yet to lose at home this season.

In contrast, Ipswich sit 19th in the table and are still looking for their first home win of the campaign after a 4-0 defeat to Newcastle United last time out.

Team News

Arsenal will be without injured players Bukayo Saka for “several weeks” due to a hamstring problem, while Raheem Sterling, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu also remain sidelined.

However, Oleksandr Zinchenko could make his return after a muscle problem. Declan Rice is expected to return to midfield, potentially pushing Kai Havertz further out.

For Ipswich, captain Sam Morsy is suspended after receiving five yellow cards. Kieran McKenna could turn to Kalvin Phillips to replace him in midfield.

Liam Delap could come up front, returning from suspension, while Chiedozie Ogbene, Janoi Donacien, George Hirst and Axel Tuanzebe are all unavailable through injury.

Planned lineups

Arsenal: (4-3-3)

Raya;

Wood, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori;

Odegaard, rice, merino;

Jesus, Havertz, Trossard

Ipswich Town: (4-2-3-1)

Muric;

Johnson, O’Shea, Greaves, Davis;

Cajuste, Phillips;

Hutchinson, Szmodics, Clarke;

Délap

Even without the influential Saka, Arsenal should have too much quality for the struggling Tractor Boys. Ipswich have struggled to keep clean sheets on the road this season, and the Gunners’ attacking firepower, led by the in-form Jesus, will likely prove too much for the visitors.
