Joe Quan is doing all the right things or so he thinks before meeting Magda Schlachta’s mother 90 day fiance. He buys a bouquet of flowers and a selection of her favorite sweets. Her mother was cold at first despite his efforts. It is revealed that she had suspicions about Joe because Magda told her that Joe slept with another girl after they started talking. Joe does not understand why Magda told her mother about his indiscretion. She says that her mother is her best friend and that she trusts her with everything.
Joe is able to sweet talk his way out of judgment with the help of his phone translator. Magda’s mother kindly wishes the best for the couple who intend to live in America. Later, Magda and Joe play volleyball with the locals. Jo wonders why she sometimes pushes with men. She plays with guys sometimes. But she admits that she won’t play with any of her ex-boyfriends because she doesn’t believe in them being friends.
