In shocking revelation, Borussia Dortmund star’s alleged father Youssoufa Moukoko claimed that the footballer was not his biological son and was actually four years older than his official age of 20.
In an affidavit, Joseph Moukoko73, said Moukoko was born on July 19, 2000 and not November 20, 2004 as is officially recorded.
Moukoko’s alleged father said he and his wife “made him four years younger” by obtaining a fake birth certificate from Yaoundé, Cameroon before bringing him to Germany.
“Youssoufa Moukoko is not the biological son of me and my wife, Marie Moukoko. He was also not born on November 20, 2004 in Yaoundé, Cameroon,” Joseph Moukoko affirmed under oath. “He was actually born on July 19, 2000. We made him four years younger. However, he was born on November 20, 2004.
The explosive revelation comes after years of scrutiny over Moukoko’s age, with the forward considered a prodigy since he burst onto the scene as a teenager.
Picture, the German publication which reported the story, said their investigation in Cameroon had found no evidence of Moukoko’s birth in 2004, but had discovered a birth certificate for a “Youssoufa Mohamadou” born July 19, 2000.
Borussia Dortmund have respected Moukoko’s official age, with the club’s communications director Sascha Fligge specifying that “biological parents can be traced from official identity documents and birth certificates issued by a German authority.
Fligge added that Moukoko’s German birth certificate was obtained when Joseph and Marie Moukoko acquired German citizenship.
This latest development marks the latest twist in the ongoing saga surrounding Moukoko’s age, which has been the subject of intense speculation and debate over the years.
With the player now potentially four years old, the revelations could have significant implications on his future and the validity of his achievements to date.
