“It’s important to me because we’re going to take a break, so I want the team to take a break knowing that we finished well. This game is going to set the tone for the next set of games so that we can’t not lose because I have to contribute to the team and also make them understand that we are capable of winning. We really have to get or overcome what we couldn’t overcome in the last few games,” Sharma said.
“It’s a long conference so it’s not bad to lose early. It’s actually good, at least napagdaanan na namin, and we discover these problems early on so we can peak at the right time. This victory is very important.

After six matches, Sharma believes the early defeats have made them stronger and wiser ahead of their final five first round matches next year.
“It’s good that we discovered these problems early on, because it will be difficult for him when we collapse later or have problems. There is no place to go but up in our previous matches because what we really want is to improve and solidify ourselves,” she said.
Sharma and the 2024 Reinforced Conference silver medalists return to action against PLDT on January 18 at the Philsports Arena.
